Our final day

Our adventure has come to an end. After breakfast we had a group reflection. Each one of us went around the circle and shared a rose, thorn and bud ( favorite, most difficult and something you’d take away) from our trip. I’m not exaggerating when I say there wasn’t a dry eye among us.

We then drove to a town called Octvalo for lunch and shopping in an open air market. It was a lot of fun. Maddie enjoyed bargaining with the natives.

As I am writing this Maddie and I are enjoying a very comfortable bed with fluffy pillows at the Marriott in Quito. It will be great to have a shower with hot water and water pressure as well as using a bathroom where you can actually flush the toilet paper.
