Today Maddie and Zarrin were in charge of fluoride and hand washing. They brushed the children’s teeth with fluoride and gave a hand washing lesson as well as playing with them. I worked in triage taking blood pressure, temperature, height and weight.

First day of clinic

The day began loading the buses with the necessary supplies for the two clinics we were servicing. It was incredible day. I worked in the pharmacy. For 8 hours I was on my feet filling prescriptions. The time just flew by. It was amazing to see the people of the community that we served. The […]

After a very long travel day we arrived in Quito at 5am! Bad weather in Houston, fog at Quito’s airport, re-fueling at another airport in Ecuador all contributed to our late arrival. Jeff’s 46th Birthday

Well, with Anne and Mads gone to Ecuador Hannah and I spent my birthday in Chicago at the Museum of Science and Industry.  After the museum we went for Italian Dinner on Taylor Street at RoSal’s.  Two thumbs up for this charming little family-run ristorante !
