Brick, Stone and Boards

Home Construction

It’s been a little while since our last update because progress before the holiday seemed a little to drag….but…

The masons returned to work this week and have been making good progress on both the north ‘tower’ stone and the rear of the house brick.

The carpenters have been getting deep into the detail work building soffits, tweaking framework while also installing the last of the windows.

The electricians have been installing lights cans, gem boxes and bending pipe into place.

The plumber let the sump hose dangle and during Monday’s rainstorm – resulted in water ejecting into the basement.

The fire-suppression guys finished installing most of the orange pipe…and sprinkler heads.

The low-voltage guys have been installing wires for speakers, network connections, stereo components and cable.

Anne and I have been quite busy as well – working on: fireplaces, wine cellar racks, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, window coverings, flooring, tile and marble.
