Mrs. Kruckman + Brick and Insulation

September 20, 2014

Home Construction

It was a very productive week…the plumbing, electrical and HVAC inspections all passed with flying colors.  The masonry went up five days in a row thanks to the cooperation of the weather patterns and the insulation guys are about 75% done with blowing, caulking and rolling the different types of insulation into place.  On Monday, they should wrap up with insulation the basement and sound barriers.  What’s cool about this stage is that we are finally getting a sense of the room volumes.

On Tuesday, the drywall will be delivered.

We also on Saturday afternoon brought our neighbor, Mrs. Kruckman over for a walk-through.  She’s bore witness to more of the construction process than anyone and was very excited to finally see inside of what’s going up.  She also gained an appreciation for the size of the lot, putting an end to her question, “why did they build that house without leaving a backyard?”  Overall, she approved of our plan!
