More Dry-wallin’ and the starting of the stucco

Home Construction

I am in charge of documenting our house progress for the next few days.  I’m not as witty as Jeff but I’m a great picture taker.  The guys were busy drywalling the first floor.  There was stuff everywhere and I didn’t want to get in their way so I only took a picture of my reading room, the master and the foyer area.  I heard action going on in the basement but didn’t dare to venture down there.  The guys have their tools all over and there wasn’t a clear and safe path to the ladder.  I’ll wait for later in the week to see the changes.  Javier and his crew started stuccoing the loggia.  They applied one coat and another one goes on tomorrow I believe.  After the two coats are applied they will add the color to the stucco.  It is so exciting seeing the changes each day.  They guys were very talkative with me today.  I think it was because I made them cookies.

The masons finished the inside bricked wall of the loggia.  It looks fantastic!  I’m hoping they will start putting the stone on the fireplace wall this week.  I can really imagine sitting in the room…
