Home Construction

Finally….the stone masons finished placing the 800 pound limestone pieces and formed our arched entry.  The cinder blocks were also added to complete the porch structure and now await their stucco coating from Erich and his crew.  The masons also placed the caps on the knee-walls.

Speaking of Erich, he and Javier finished the first coat of stucco in the window wells today.

Elsewhere on the exterior, the driveway was compacted and should be topped with its first coat of blacktop in a week or so.  The first of the gutters were also delivered and installation should begin in the next day or two.

Also working outside was Lance’s landscape crew, trenching and burying the downspout pipes…they should be finished with that work tomorrow.

On the inside, Ted and Mike continued their work on the Great Room coffers while Jim and John tiled the master shower, Maddie’s shower and grouted the laundry room.  Funny story – Rick won’t bring back a dumpster until the driveway is paved and the guys are getting a little tense about where to put the garbage/scraps.  These guys have to be the neatest contractors ever!

All in all, it was a very busy and productive day…Anne is pleased!!
