Tear Down That Wall!

November 20, 2014

Home Construction

The 25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall’s destruction occurred nearly to the day that our own “wall” came down.  Of course, the occasion was not nearly as historic nor was the scene anywhere near as dramatic as was Berlin ’89 but believe me, there were tears streaming down the cheeks of one Type A, soon-to-be-homeowner who wonders daily why the project isn’t done yet.

Elsewhere in the project we are happy to report that tiling progress has reached the point where bathroom vanities can now be installed and Anne saw that, indeed there is a “Jim” who cuts, installs and grouts said tiles.

The carpenters continued their work on the trim and molding and Dan & Al showed up to pull some wires and install some switches/outlets.  It was good to see them again.

On the outside, Pedro and his crew finished cutting and placing the pavers – they’re just waiting for slightly warmer temps in order to fill the cracks with their special blend of sand.
