Making the Grade

Well, now that the lot is completely graded we can actually call the exterior phase of construction complete…at least until Spring when we will add the landscaping, top layer of driveway and the rear patio.

On the inside, the carpenters have been busy installing doors, moldings, trim and cabinets while the electricians pull their wires and install the switches.  It would be nice if the progress here was more visible…but we understand the nature of detail work!

With Maddie in town for Thanksgiving we all spent Tuesday downtown at the Merchandise Mart to check out some furniture.  In spite of all the home-construction, we need to make sure there are places to sit!
