Looking strictly out for the welfare of the electricians…Anne advised Rick about six weeks ago to have Dan and Al install the exterior coach lights. Thirty degrees and fifty days later Rick acted on Anne’s sage advice and, voila – we have working coach lights. In addition to the electrical kind…we also had dug (AFTER the pathway was installed, of course) the trench to run the gas to the gaslight. That should be lit up within a week.
On the inside, Steve has been installing cabinets and nearly as fast as he can point his electric screwdriver into the next cabinet the counter tops arrive and are installed. We’re wrestling with how to access the top cabinets – being about 10 feet up from the floor.
Mike, Chris and Brian all came down with a Tuesday Flu – calling in sick – but have been trimming everything they can until the flooring guys are done with the main floor. Speaking of floors, John was finishing today the wine lounge.
Vlad and his crew painted the trim and two of the rooms upstairs. It is a little strange and incredibly welcome seeing a color in the house that isn’t white, wood or dust.
