Start of the Finish(ing)??

With the holidays firmly behind us there should be no further delays in the house, right? If only…

This weekend was a great start…we had carpenters, painters and the fireplace masons all working on Saturday.  Their reward – lunch from The Picnic Basket.  The masons were so inspired that they came back on Sunday!

On Monday, all of the same guys showed up PLUS:

– Electricians, who began installing light fixtures

– Steve, the cabinet installer who turned his efforts to the mudroom bench cabinets and master closet

– Erich and his crew of stucco artists finished the wine cellar walls and bazaar archway

– A couple of guys who installed the kitchen countertops.

We can’t speed up time but seeing fifteen or so guys working on Monday certainly is cause for excitement.  Believe you, me…Anne and I will be riding Rick hard until we’re in.
