Tre Giorni

Away from Home

Three days until our departure – we’ve actually laid out some things and kicked off the packing process.

And it’s a picture-perfect day today in Firenze … today’s walk into town was a great one; even a little bit poignant knowing there aren’t many more times we’ll be making it.

View off the balcony. Yes – we’ll miss this.

This tower, as recently as 150 years ago stood as part of the protective city wall. Now it marks our halfway-to-town point.

Here’s another milestone along our trek into Centro Storico; the Pedestrian/Cycling crossover lane. It’s exactly this point where for three months we’ve successfully evaded collision; but we did witness a bike-scooter incident!

As part of our Last 10 Days farewell tour, we’re revisiting our fave restaurants. Lunch today was with Fabrizio who toasted our safe return to Firenze in 2023 with a Limoncello. He also insisted that by then Anne will have learned Italian so he can speak only with her 😊🇮🇹. Dinner tonight is with the father/son duo of Roberto and Alessandro (who have already been twice included on our Blog)!!

Ciao!! Mangia!! ❤️🇮🇹😘

And some pics from today’s morning ride…

Follow up pic of the Duomo between two old buildings (refer to yesterday’s shot from Fiesole).

And BONUS shots from Anne’s walk…
