The Great Indoors

Home Construction

Now…we’re really getting excited.  With practically nothing left in our ‘creative’ tanks for additional architectural flourishes and no patience remaining for additional ‘changes’ our minds have turned to the finishing touches the guys have all been working on.  Well, that AND the small matter of preparing to pack-move-unpack and settle into our new home.

Anne said it best when she said to me, “Your turn is over, now it’s mine.”  That’s what makes a marriage work, right?  Shortly after making that statement/observation Anne had lined up three moving companies to quote us.  She also has been moving between the closets and the dumpster tossing jetsam and flotsam accumulated over the sixteen years in our current house.

We also buried a statue of St. Joseph in order to (spiritually) keep the home sale moving forward.  Granted, St. Joe is probably a little busy helping St. Mary with the preparations for their Son’s 2014th birthday bash – but maybe he can send a little holy-mojo to Libertyville in between hanging the crepe paper and filling the piñata.  Gracias, St. Jose!
