Foggy Morning Riding Pics

Away from Home

I’ve been asked, “When you’re riding in those Tuscan landscapes how do you concentrate on the road?” The answer is, “The conditions change so quickly, unless you want an asphalt exfoliation… you lock into the road 25-50 feet at a time.”

Today… I admit, focusing was hard. I set out in a different direction (ENE) than I’ve been taking in order to explore new roads while following the Arno River into steeper hills. The weather conditions created incredible fog-scapes with alternating diffuse and direct and sunlight – with the mountains and rivers and towns as backgrounds I seriously wanted to pull over take pictures every 1/4 mile. The roads today lacked the regular bump-outs, shoulders and grassy buffers I typically click-pics from. Only guardrails. Ugh. Dammit.

That’s the back story, but I did get some awesome pics that I think you’ll enjoy (if I do say so, myself) … and coming a day after the AMAZING FOOD POST, I figure Tuscan scenery is the best way to keep our BLOG FOLLOWERS interested. Ciao! 😊🇮🇹🚴‍♂️❤️

I went THISAWAY.
WHOOOAAAHH… nothing is quite as distracting to a Cyclista as a Belle Donna walking on the roadside. 😘😘. (Probably more hazardous than a pothole!)

I do love Anne’s new shoes! Good choices if I do say so myself.
